Knoxville and the surrounding region get hit with severe weather every year — spring hail, summer thunderstorm winds, and the occasional tornado-spawning system. If a storm just rolled through your area, get your roof inspected before small damage turns into big leaks.
Free Post-Storm Roof Inspections
We come out, climb the roof, and take detailed photos of every slope. You get a clear, written assessment of what we found — whether the damage is significant enough to file a claim or not. No pressure either way.
Signs Your Roof Has Storm Damage
- Round dark spots on shingles where hail knocked off granules
- Bruised or soft spots when you press on a shingle (felt below is compromised)
- Cracked or split shingles from large hail impacts
- Missing shingles or lifted edges after high wind
- Damaged metal vents, ridge caps, or chimney flashing
- Dented gutters or downspouts (often the first visible sign)
- Granules in your gutters in unusual quantities after a storm
How Insurance Claims Work for Storm-Damaged Roofs
If we find significant damage, here is what happens next:
- You file the claim with your insurance company (we coach you through it).
- An adjuster is assigned and schedules an on-site inspection.
- We meet the adjuster at your home to walk the roof together and make sure all damage is documented.
- Insurance issues a scope of loss — the work they will pay for.
- We complete the work to that scope, supplement if items were missed, and bill to insurance.
- You pay only your deductible (which is legally required — beware of contractors who offer to "waive" it).
A Word About Storm Chasers
After a big storm, out-of-state "storm chaser" companies flood the area knocking on doors. Many disappear within weeks, leaving homeowners stuck with warranty problems and no one to call. We are local, year-round, with a real address in Knoxville — we will be here next year, and the year after that.
What We Will Not Do
- Tell you damage exists when it doesn't
- Offer to "eat your deductible" (this is insurance fraud)
- Pressure you to file a claim you don't need
- Start work before insurance approval and your written go-ahead
